MSK Prasad, a former India national selector, has joined the Lucknow SuperGiants of the Indian Premier League as a Strategic Consultant. Prasad is the team’s second high-profile addition to the support staff, following the announcement of Justin Langer as the new head coach, succeeding Andy Flower.
Apart from being a national selector, former India wicketkeeper Prasad has also served as the Director of Cricket Operations for Andhra, where he is located. “His involvement at RPSG Sports will be instrumental in providing essential guidance across a spectrum of critical domains as Head of Talent Search, talent development, and our academy business,” the club stated in a statement.
In both of their IPL appearances so far, Lucknow Super Giants have advanced to the playoffs. Others on the support team include mentor Gautam Gambhir, fielding coach Jonty Rhodes, bowling coach Morne Morkel, and assistant coach Vijay Dahiya.
