‘Incident’ involving Maxwell to be looked into by Cricket Australia

Cricket Australia is looking into an “incident” that happened in Adelaide involving Glenn Maxwell. Maxwell had to be rushed to the hospital in an ambulance on January 19 night after he fell and lost consciousness, according to a story in the Sydney Morning Herald.

The SMH story also stated that Maxwell, who was not included in the ODI squad to play the West Indies, is believed to have attended a Six & Out concert on the relevant night. A former Australian pacer, Brett Lee plays in a band called Six & Out.

“Cricket Australia is aware of an incident involving Glenn Maxwell in Adelaide at the weekend and is seeking further information,” CA stated.

“It has nothing to do with his replacement in the ODI team, which was decided upon based on his personal management plan and after the BBL. Maxwell is anticipated to play in the T20 series again.”
