“I am delighted and proud to assume the captaincy of Gujarat Titans and thank the franchise for their trust in me to lead such a fine team,” Shubman Gill stated in response to the announcement. We have enjoyed two fantastic seasons, and I am excited to lead the team in our thrilling style of cricket.”
In his two IPL seasons thus far, Gill has participated in 33 games for the Titans and amassed an amazing 1373 runs in scoring. Despite his incredible 890 runs in 16 games in 2023, GT finished runners-up in 2023, though he was a part of the team’s 2022 title victory.
